Key Experience
As a founding member of 4M Systems (4MS) responsibilities include developing new generative solutions and software for clients and to help deliver improved development performance across the group. Edward is an architectural computational designer, with further experience as a digital artist and an additional background in science, resulting in a unique understanding of both the technical and design issues involved in managing projects. Delivering the programming work for 4M, Edward develops analytical and generative tools for the development of urban planning and architectural design, including natural simulation systems and optimisation techniques. A key contributor in the Smart Solutions for Spatial Planning (SSSP) project for Tower Hamlets and Newham councils, and the Urban Buzz publication. Edward has had his research work published as part of the Generative Arts conference 2006, and is at the cutting edge of generative and analytical architecture, constantly researching and developing new computational systems for architecture and urbanism.
