4M Group is currently working on a programming system to automatically generate tower structures and facades. The software uses environmental and spatial parameters to design the structure and arrange bespoke internal apartments, to create exclusive living and working conditions. The tower has been designed to be constructed in Prishtina Kosovo to facilitate the continuing development of this city.
Various computational techniques have been employed in the development of this project, including evolutionary opimisation techniques, 2D and 3D voronoi's, as well as diffusion mechanisms, these are combined to create an initial apartment structure and facades for the building.
The software produces unique solutions created with standardized components, which helps to minimise costs, it also allows for data sheets to be created detailing aspects of the design for manufacturing.
